Abstract
Several studies have reported the effectiveness of neutron radiography in investigating the inner structural features of the materials. In order to identify the reasons for the relevance of the use of neutron radiography in modern research, this paper contains a detailed description of the features of the process of neutron radiography. In the course of an experiment carried out on a critical stand based on the WWR-K reactor, the backfill Be-Al2O3 was irradiated with a collimated neutron flux. The following is a course of action to process obtained images in the ImageJ program, the results of which provide information about the distribution of inhomogeneities in the sample. Implication of neutron radiography method is particularly efficient in the aerospace, energy, and defence industries, where reliability of components is extremely important.
